I wanted you to move on,
but all you have done is run away
Put them off til later,
They are just things for another day
How come on your list
they are always on the bottom?
They should be number one,
instead of just forgotten.
Where are your values?
Or do you just not care?
I guess they are learning early
that life’s not always fair.
When you are dividing your time,
how is it that you choose,
What is most important?
How do your kids always loose?
“Father” is a verb,
you cannot be one standing still.
You have to make an effort
if it is ever going to heal.
So, its time to figure out
exactly how you feel.
I’m really not trying to point out
all of your imperfections
I’m just trying to do what is right
because it’s my job to protect them.
