Until You Breathe My Name

I stop and listen
But I can’t hear you
I can smell your scent
On my pillow
But I can’t hear you
If you would only race
To my side
And take this pain away
I would be all right
Tonight
I just want another chance
To hear your voice again
But I can’t hear you
The tears are in my eyes
With no place left to go
Because I can’t hear you
Your footsteps echo
Down the alleyway
As I catch one more glance
As your dress sways
As you turn the corner
But I can’t hear you
I am screaming on the inside
And I am having a meltdown
On the outside
Because I can’t hear you
Just one word to let me know
Just one word will get me through
Until the next time I see you
Laying on my pillow
And I hear you breathe my name

A moving piece, Brian-- enjoyed reading this and your message comes strong and clear-- I hope this helps, just one typo-- a missing "e" in "breathe" in your title-- hope you're having a good weekend-- nikko :)
