Until We Meet Once More
So swiftly do
the years pass by
Wherever do they go?
If only we
could gather them
together in a row
Within each one
I'd stroll along
reliving them again
The laughter
and the songs we sang
would never see an end
But truthfully
such things can't be,
save in our memories
And thanks to you
we have such sweet
remembrances as these
That fateful day
that comes to all
has knocked upon your door
And so, dear friend
we part for now
until we meet once more

* I lost a dear friend on New Year's eve. This is for her. If you lost any loved ones recently, this is also for you, and in their beloved memory.
