I touch the dawn when fear explains
                      the reasons why this chill remains
I wait for sun to paint the skies
                           in hues of hope to fill my eyes

I touch the dawn inside my mind
                      with every thought that I can find
My hands outstretched, I’ll not give in
                                              feel it within

Until love returns to me
Until you make your way to my door
When darkness surrenders the brilliance of light  
                 and I am not wanting for more

Until love returns to me
            and the morning sun fills my heart
When dreaming no longer awaits
                    nevermore, nevermore to be apart
