Unspoken Love

The pain of love that's unspoken; When true love's bonds are unbroken. My muse, my beauty, my heavenly dream; Bringing more than this life could ever seem. Too shy, too weak, never too bold; I loved her and she thought I was cold. A look at her made me feel I could fly; Losing her made me wish I would die. I see her again and my feelings still surge; Those overwhelming young feelings I never could purge. I reach for her, but for us it's too late; We've made our decisions to seal this life's fate. She sees her ending, she sees her sunset; Leaving pains and my life's greatest regret. Dulcinea, Juliet, those fictional names; Could never match up to my real life dame. So, son, if for you, it isn't too late; You haven't yet seen your soul in someone else's face. Please listen to me and let love from its shell; Don't repeat my mistake and damn your future to hell.

That is why "Love Languages" in relationships are so important. They help you communicate your love for your spouse or significant other. I love this poem though. The message is sooooo true! Welcome to Poetry Soup btw! I can't wait to read more of your work! <3 Tash

This poem was written for the love of my life. She left because I wasn't vocal enough. I'm 34 now and that experience at 17 changed my life. When the movie Princess Bride movie says only one in a century gets to experience this, I think ours was more exceptional. So this poem was so pure, raw and intense.
