Unshackled
Miles and miles he has gone,
He wonders when he'll find what he seeks,
Exasperated, tired and worn,
He has seen several frail weeks.
He has toiled and laboured,
Several days of meagre portions,
Dreams of places he wished he toured,
Still living in life's low sections.
He is undaunted in his pursuit,
He holds tenaciously on to hope,
Wearied by his predicament, he holds no dispute,
He's keeping taut his life’s rope.
He believes life is a mystery,
Everyone's story competes for history.
