Unsay
Tell me
What am I supposed to say
When I see you cry
In every day that passes by me
As I walk down this widened path across the shadow of the past
Speak to me
Only let me know
How hearts are deadly
Love's unknown
And we just have to try to hide
From each other in the lonely night
Oh tell me
Only let me see
These words that meant so much to me
Unspoken
Unobserved and free
I've lost my mind to memories
Of times when we were still in love
Of times when we'd walk down the path
Oh how we laughed
Together
How we felt each other's thought
And smelled the calm before the rain
That came to wash our souls so pure
Oh sure, we had our troubles then
We only had ourselves for friends
But how we laughed
Oh how we laughed
And how I'd look into your eyes and see
A thousand stars, those tears uncried, and such solemnity
That I could never think to be more than a friend
But then I fell down from these stars
Within your eyes
And cried these tears of longing
For your presence here
How nearby to despair was I
And all because I wanted more
Than open doors and cheerful smiles
That last a while then fade away
That was the day
When I proclaimed so much more than my love
That day
When tears came to my eyes
And you cried in your sorrow
All the false hopes that I had
How sadly I destroyed our friendship
With 3 words
I wish
You'd never heard
