Unrequited

I looked at you once,
I looked at you twice,
I could only see your fading lights.

I touched you once,
I touched you twice,
I could only feel your unmelting ice.

I called your name once,
I called your name twice,
I could only wait through my lonely nights.

You looked at me once,
you looked at me twice,
you couldn't see my hurt inside.
