Unopened Tears

I can see That you have hid them with guile Placed them behind A pasted on smile Somewhere down deep inside all the while You’ve locked them away with a key Hoping some day They will set themselves free I can see Locked far deep inside Within the far corners Of both of your eyes Between the bravados And soft saddening sighs In a place where you’ve driven your fears Are lakes, and oceans and rivers Of unopened tears
