Unmothered

Neglected by you,
The simplest form of abuse

Not photos taken, so none to fade
Ransom for love still unpaid

Might as well have given me away
You were a mother only in name

My Susan, this is tragic. To be robbed of a mother's love while in her presence, abuse so cruel to a child. You've written a gem here. love, Kathy

That is sad..No photos because no money or other reasons..I hope not your life but that you are speaking of some situations of which you have heard...Enjoyed reading this afternoon..Congrats on your win in PD' s contest..There were no photos of me until after I was adopted..It is like I did not exist until beyond 18 months..Sara
