Unkenruf,Call of Toads,Grito De Sapos

Auf stillem Wasser
So im sanften Mondlicht
Der Ruf der Unken

On quiet water
There in the gentle moonlight
The call of the toads

De agua tranquilo
En suave luz de la luna
Los gritod de sapos

modern haiku need only have 17 OR LESS english syllables for the "sound" count was meant for Japanese "sound" it is the modern way to focus on short long short & the single image/ prayer with a surprise feeling or sense brought about after the "cut" of the same singular image. Lovely singlular image above, yet very senstence like and no cut Gert? May your days fill with such beauty! Light & Love

Cute one, hey I have been meaning to ask you. Do you actually experience these many haiku you write, or are you imagining a lot of them?

Oh, Gert, you really have me smiling now! Needed this uplifting poem and you sure delivered. How I'd love to stand beneath the moonlight by the side of a lake and hear the delightful croaking of the toads. Magnificent haiku, my friend! Love, Carolyn
