United

United
By Rebecca Dominique Morris

The worker bee is not just a sign
Its a representation of our community which terrorism will not undermine
It's a symbol that stands strong
like our community even though it's been done wrong
Just like the bee we will continue to strive
we will keep  supporting and protecting people within our hive
We will remember the families and the people  that have lost thier lives
As we remember the love in our heart  that continues to survive
We will not be consumed by hate or fear
That's one thing I would like  to make clear
Although you try to spread hate
Manchester is multi cultural and we shall all congregate
We shall not let this tear us apart
We shall still all beat as one heart
You may have took  our people and try to encourage us to discriminate
But let us get one thing straight
We are Manchester both red and blue
We will not let you win by the things that you do!
We will continue to fly just like the bee
That's one thing I can guarantee
We  will continue to be  united and stand strong and tall
Whilst celebrating the lives of the innocent above all.
It's those names that will continue to sound out
As we shed a tear for those  bees we are now without
