Unions of Love
I've longed for a man to have and to hold,
To love me forever, being brave and bold.
Someone to cherish and stay by my side,
With this man truly I'll always abide.
I've longed for a woman, tender and wise,
Who doesn't hold secrets in the depths of her eyes.
Someone whose word is always true,
With this woman happiness will ensue.
We've now found each other, our union is strong,
We now know that this is where we each belong.
Unions like ours must indeed be rare,
So with our love we shall take extra care.
When this life is over and we start again,
Maybe next time we'll be each other's friend.
You've enriched my life beyond any measure,
So in whatever form you're always my treasure!
