Unicorn

In times long past
Lived a creature fair
Some said it was fantasy
Some said it was there.

Roaming the hills and forests
With wicked chains ‘twas leashed
Fighting for its own secret place
Came a virgin to tame the beast.

A single twisted horn
Atop a white gentle steed
Having virility and virtue
Healing powers to all in need.

Depicted in stories told
Dangerous yet forlorn
Freedom loving, wild
The illusive Unicorn.
