Unheard Whisper

they listen long and close to what they do not say and hum their unheard whisper, perking up their day; they thank the years that smooth away all hurt, all grief, years of hopeful love that seem forever though brief; and now he clasps her hands it's time for him to go, she nods a vow of hope, unspoken, they both know !
