Unfurling
Slowly, infinitely slowly they unfurled
the beauty hidden within each one revealed.
Seeking the sun's heat and the barmy wind
they stretch every which way light to find.
Now forgive me if a plant you think we are
for there is no way could we go bare.
Two souls we be, each one of us searching
unfurling in delight when ends the looking.
For now living in hopeful expectation
will our unfurling lead to fruitation?
That only time will tell, but in the meanwhile
every day makes us stronger each travelled mile..
