Unfulfilled Dreams

Some career choices come with small voices.
Some callings seem divine, but are ahead of their time.
Certain dreams die on the vine, and nightmares begin to shine.
Such things happen, not by design, but by a ton of denying.
Rejections here, jealousies there, and so few who really care.
So, the best is left on the table, and the remains are laid to rest.

"Such things happen". I completely agree. Not all dreams come true, but it is best to keep reaching for the stars. Your thoughts caress softly around me and my heart. Congratulations Curtis, on your placement in the contest. My best to you. ~ Brandy
