Unfreeze My Life

Thaw me, bruise me, and confuse me
take me out for coffee.
Smooth my hair behind my ear
while we are peacefully talking.

Pause at all the right intervals
tell me my eyes are blue
as the world pours liquid ice into
the vessel that was you

Break my frozen fingers off
and call me half a girl
as you take away my intellect and
tell me that I'm cruel.

Moments still with discovery
it's creation's push to bloom
as I thaw and leave an ocean
and swim my way out of the room...
