Lord I need you!

I need you clear the forest of trees in my path so I can see the light

I need you to stand before me as I kneel at your feet in faith that you will make my wrongs right

Everyone has a purpose 

Can you send me a memo

I don’t follow signs well

But if you could text me the answer to my destiny

I could promptly begin fulfilling my prophecy 

Lord I need you

I need you today tomorrow and always

Today is the tip of the iceberg that is sure to meltdown

Into the hot lava bubbling over into my tomorrow

But I will always look for your guidance

Can I just have one moment of your time?

Can I just pour you a glass of wine Lord?

I just need to know that there is serenity where you are

There is none here by far

If it does exist on this earth 

Let me find it by your direction and perch 

I feel I only know a few things

Money, Clothes, and poetry

In heaven I won’t need money

But here it’s essential to life

In heaven my clothes will be provided not by Gucci, Prada, or Feragamo but I will be in the cloth of the angels and I’m not talking about Victoria’s Secret

But poetry

Poetry is how I pray Lord
