Undying Love
So recently these blurring eyes saw so much
Vision encompassed love of the vital youth,
Now closed with unending weep of tears and such,
Spills the grief sprung from the naked heart of truth.
Answers, what answers lie in the opiate pain,
The numb and anguished drag of misery?
No reasons and no constructs to explain
A life curtailed by cold machinery.
God, how this chaos theory cuts its mindless sweep,
And words may never heal such cruel tragedy;
Cling fierce to the thing you know down deep:
Undying love prevails invincibly.
