Underway Sailors

Haze gray underway
to all the sailors at sea
may the seas sail well

Robert, I have a friend out in the seas. Sometimes I worry for him. This is a nice little tribute. Forever *SKAT*

Your poem evoked strong memories of my days at sea aboard a WWII tin can. I grew from child to man aboard her, and - much as I bitched about it at the time, I am eternally grateful for what I learned and was able to take away from her. "Oh Lord, thy sea is so great and my ship is so small." But the sea is profoundly indifferent.

Thank you Ronald, its different world out sea. I served onboard an aircraft carrier during the eighties. Those memories are always with us...
