Understand

they see you and laugh
at your wrists, and the deep gashes.
i know they break your heart in half,
and crumble it to ashes.
tears stream endlessly down
your beautiful face
silently they don't make a sound.
what a waste.
alone..forever..always..
uncomfortable endless
never ending days
a wreck, a mess.
shaking cold
shivers down your spine
your thoughts, you withhold
because they'd just say you whine.
but you do have a hard life.
that's what they don't understand.
its the reason you love the knife.
gripping it tightly in your hand.
i don't care that nobody talks to you.
that's their loss not mine,
but ill tell you what ill do,
ill stand by your side.

It's the most beautiful poem I've read recently ;) It is light to read and really beautiful at the same time, and that's why I love it. Keep standing by his/her side and show that you care ;)

the intensity feels so real, good write. life has a way of taking the downs up and conversely, the ups down. i try and concentrate on the former. your last line, i like "ill stand by your side." - hope you do. thanks for your work, chuck
