Undercurrent of Melancholy

Undercurrent of Melancholy

beneath yawning ribs time-eaten bay sinks
down the sea-poose of the blues
                                             carrying somber hues
mind reverberates with the fall of ice
sullies tramp down a stuffed soul
                                              ushering in smolder
against it come the menacing thunders
through the world not left at peace
                                           and spin old memories

Most beautiful, Rajat, good for a win... I see you didn't read my soup mail.. Sonny died last year on August 29.. his heart couldn't take any more.. after 6 way bypass, then later a pacemaker defibrillator, then Prostate Cancer , then again a second pacemaker defibrillator , congestive heart failure. He is dearly missed. Hugs dear friend

I am very saddened to hear this, Eve. He will be dearly missed. You are much creative and that's most important now. Hugs.-Rajat

Beautiful imagery, Rajat, great for the contest, but Edward is wanting 3 stanzas. Good luck in the contest. Hugs Eve

Thank you Eve. I failed to notice. Now, it's a 3-stanza-poem. Please read it. I will be happy. Thank you.-Rajat
