Undercurrent of Melancholy


                               beneath yawning ribs time-eaten bay sinks
                                      down the sea-poose of the blues
                                             carrying somber hues
                                   mind reverberates with the fall of ice
                                    sullies tramp down a stuffed soul
                                              ushering in smolder
                                 against it come the menacing thunders
                                   through the world not left at peace 
                                           and spin old memories

Sonny died last year on August 29.. his heart couldn't take any more.. after 6 way bypass, then later a pacemaker defibrillator, then Prostate Cancer , then again a second pacemaker defibrillator , congestive heart failure.
