Under the Same Stars

We all live
under the same stars
The harvest moon
mysterious Mars

We’re all pretty small…
under the vast Milky Way
just another speck
just a brief day

We all just want
a roof overhead
A place to call home
A comfy bed

We all just want
Something to eat
Captain Crunch
Pickled pigs feet

We all just want
Someone to love
A hand to hold
Or velvet glove

We all just want
To live our life
Love our kids
Love our wife

We all live
Under the same sun
Same red blood
In bodies run

We all will live
We all will go
We cannot stay
That we know

A fine piece David, nice rhyme and flow along the way bringing out some real truths. Blessings, Gordon
