Under a Moon

Alone at night
Under a moon, full and bright
The years came slowly calling
Memories, down my cheek, falling

Into darkness then, I slip
Realities, a mind cannot grip
Chasing shadows of what was
It didn't work because…because

In memory, hours pass
Thought pours freely over the past
Time slips through fingers grasp
However tight, the hand does clasp

Though my eyes are blurred
Past emotions having stirred
Keeping me awake this night
Under a moon, full and bright
