Undecided

Your heart is tardy, hardly used except to whisper words of courteous affection. Passion takes a backseat with your carefully selected styles of self-protection. 'I love you' hardly ever leaves your lips. Is it fear of letting go that stills your soul, or the fear you'll get too close that keeps you undecided?

i'm glad you mentioned the "tardy - hardly" connection, which works so beautifully here, keith. your use of alliteration is also spot-on. ~ let me take this opportunity to wish you a happy and healthy new year...

Yes, I like it too, it is as if it commands a longer pause after tardy.
