Unchange Me

I stand still stunned by the way this world turns
Like a song lam carried along and l wonder
Are the best times yet to come or they have passed
l despair so confused by the waves of the wind
Sometimes l see my mother's smile
And my father dances to the beat

This world never stands still
Its wheels are always in motion
At times l appeal to stay the same
But lo my pleading falls on deaf eyes
And with shame return unheard

Change is good and change is bad
Should l go where ever lam carried by the hurricane
At times lm afraid of becoming an adult
At times l wake up in the morning and my heart says
Come what may.
