Unchained

I had one tile left
of my fake floor
once that tile broke
all was gone
just raw earth
under my toes
and the sad grief
of an after war....

I walked away
leaving behind
my old bonds
my old life
carrying with me
my heart and mind
and myself unchained
for the new time.
