Unbreakable

Devices geared to destroy
Forces vent on malignance
Had your life like a toy
In a grip-like-vice

A head on collision
Almost snapped my pillar
The son I am broke down
To learn that speed’s a killer

And still you stand
A tall living monument
Graceful, beautiful and proud
Perseverance your true testament

2014 wasn’t your year
2015 so much will be achievable
The Mother, you are
Remains for always unbreakable

Dedicated to Maggie Ngoma
My Mother

“To learn to walk again,
After breaking both your legs
To go through so much pain,
And come out stronger...”
