Unborn

Fancy paintings on the wall
Give the impression of a happy home
What's the purpose of a dining hall
If we still eat alone
But let's all smile smile smile for the family photo
A picture is worth more than a thousand words, the motto
Hey sister, hey brother, not tired of playing pretend yet?
Does father still remember when and where he and mom met?
Does mother feel the same love for dad like the first day?
Am I even wanted though I am already on my way?
Speak I can't, but listening I will until a voice I have to say
What I felt even before I knew I could feel
So love me because my heartbeat is real

Shagesa.. So glad I had the opportunity to read your interesting poem this morning. I'm heading home from a road gig today and won't have this chance again for a while. Happy Weekend!
