Unanswered

Did we perish when the sun
defied a moon
Or did we die when
darkness crumbled in faded hands
Is fact sincerity denied a pleasing end
and do we cry when all penance
endures a ruse
Do triumphs betray an end to
unanswered questions,
or is fate simply unkind to us
