Unafraid because...
your kind and assuring eyes
are gazing upon my sleepy face,
to shun my fear of darkness!
Silence can make a night song rhyme,
or simply more harmonious
with the spoken sound of words...
whispered almost silently to me;
and your light breath feels like
the delightful breeze of May:
as I anxiously seek the company
of more cheerful dreams!
Unafraid because...
you are heart-warming and lovable,
and perfectly unsurpassable
in your unquestionable devotion;
and there's no other worthy mission
more meaningful than this:
to love me beyond your human ways,
and to guide me 'till you become invisible!
