Umbrella

I do not need an umbrella
You don’t have to shelter me from the rain
I can carry my own weight
I can handle the pain
I do not need you to lift me up
I am not waiting
These aren’t tears that I’m crying
I am not hiding
I do not want your pity
Because I have not failed
Let me stand in the rain
Holding my own weight
I do not need an umbrella
