Umble
He told me of the truth through a raspy mumble
The last breath and words of a dying man
Now through the dark I stumble
Running for my life through a foreboding land
My perception of reality has started to crumble
As I now fully realize the diabolical plan
In the distance I see the lightning then hear the rumble
Making it to the dock if only I can
The steep bank is slippery as I take a tumble
They’re right behind me , I turn to make my stand
The completeness of the betrayal leaves me completely humble
I now lay buried for millennia under the beach’s sand
