Ultimate Denial

Somebody pinch me, this can't be real
I must be having a dream
This can't be happening, it's just a lie
No matter how things might seem

It's only my mind playing a trick
Somebody call out my name
Shake me, smack me, wake me up
It's some kind of twisted game

I'm just not going to accept it
No matter what people might say
I refuse to listen to all of their lies
Why do they treat me this way?

It's almost time for the sun to rise
Then the whole wide world will see
I'll open my eyes and get to my feet
Then they'll stop looking at me

It's just a mistake, that's all it is
It's time to get out of bed
Why can't I move?, I can't get up
Could it be that they're right, I'm dead?
