Uk Boy

Seems like I've waited forever, just to have your love
but forever isn't really forever, it's just been a few months
Fights bring us closer, this you swear
I agree, but sometimes you make me want to pull my hair
Jacob Tyler Schmidt, you make me weak
I swore I'd never let you walk all over me
But when I see your words, filled with hope
I read them entranced, as if they were from the pope
Distance is a matter, and yet we don't care
For one day you will travel over to here
Across the vast seas in a big white plane
Bringing with you an accent from the UK
Darlin' your beautiful, my beautiful boy
But I'll be done with you, if you treat me like your toy

I like the last two lines - quite clever. The "vast seas" seperate us from the "mother country" but our fate is intertwined with theirs. Yours Matthew Anish
