Two Views On Spring

1.
Eternal Spring

O Peaceful trees
Permit the bees
To raid your flowers
As they please
And let the breeze
Play with your leaves
Before they meet
Old winter’s freeze
And waft your fragrance
 Everywhere
And strew your petals in my hair
For spring will bring it all
And let you
Squander it again.

2.
As Seasons Go

Lifeless
Dormant in the ground
Stick- like to my view
And yet in spring
Yourself will you renew
And leaves and fruit abound
Rejoicing in the dew
And verdant will your vines
Bring forth
The possibility
Of nectar sweet your winter wines
Will bring me ecstacy.
Return to dormancy
Content I’ll be
To let you mark the seasons
For eternity
And me.

Oh Suz, your second poem brought it all home to me and I had a feeling of content, something only fall usually brings. Lovely, both of them! Please share this at PFT.
