Two Rays of Serendipity

She's the first ray of light at first light
The warmth that reliefs the cold air of night
I'm the last ray at dusk to strike
And usher in the dark

We're as different as fire and ice
And as opposite as sunset and sunrise
Our minds meet briefly at a tangent
And our hearts greet as they depart

We replay the joyful moments we have
Because together we're killer bees in a hive
We seem to find a reason to love, to fight
So that we can have a reason to reunite

Our love mimics the moon as it tugs at the earth
And the earth as it pulls it along its path
We're cosmic rays of the same source
Waves of synergy on the same collision course
