Two Poems In One
Sometimes the words want to have their say
No matter the feelings of the poet on the subject
Sometimes, in the dark of night or the too bright sun of the morning,
The verse reverses
Sometimes fingers freeze in agony
Only to thaw in ecasty later in the evening
Sometimes a small break will come
And collapse all the hard work that has been done
Sometimes the trap springs too soon
And writers are left in the corner they've created
Sometimes it is all for naught
And nothing changes
Sometimes
And then the time arrives when epithany takes empathy by the hand
Showing her a grand old time
And the two become eternal friends
Laughing in the faces of the disapproving muses
