Two Long Years

Two years to this day I found out I was carrying you and lost you at the same time,
I hit the floor and cried as I saw those two lines,

Shock took over as I couldn't grasp the concept that I'd conceived,
Never would have thought you'd have to leave.

I'm still not over the pain it caused,
I try to be strong, but it's a hard loss.

It's been a tough road, a big lesson,
As none of your children should beat you to heaven.

Not many know what I've been through,
It's hard to be strong when you don't want to.

Sometimes I just want to kick and scream,
Blame everyone and feel sorry for me.

But, I know I'm blessed waking up each day,
I'll be thankful for you and love you always.
