Two Leaves

Two leaves dancing on a breeze
floating without a care
suddenly tangled up in passion
hearts soaring through the air

brief is the encounter
this meeting of pure chance
together tumbling in the wind
swept up in a gust of romance

fondly touching then sadly drifting apart
sailing on a whisper there separate ways
two leaves dancing on a breeze
with a memory of love on a fine fall day

Interesting perspective on love in this creative poem. I like the way you use the idea of leaves. Nice one! Karen
