Two Hearts Aprayin'

Two Hearts Aprayin' This year has been so very sad;- Life turned so wickedly bad; But your love still makes me glad,- Here's two hearts aprayin'! Life has been short of thrills;- Often we could not pay the bills; But we never did try to steal,- Here's two hearts aprayin'! We seeded love into our nest;- Said our prayers and all the rest; And I know your love is the best,- Here's two hearts aprayin'! Maybe it did not go all so right;- We both worked hard day and night; But thank the Lord we saw a light,- Here's two hearts aprayin'! We struggled to be so very brave;- Sacrificed and ate less to save; Your love my life it did truly save,- Here's two hearts aprayin'! For joy and love to just grow;- Our happiness dares to make it so; Sweet bliss came we both know,- Here's two hearts aprayin'! R.J. Lindley 02/07/1974 Dug this one out of my oldies file.. My first wife and I had a terrible year that year! She wrecked our car, lost her purse with a 900 dollar cash bank deposit in it and our dog Brownie died! I fell off the roof doing home repair, hurt my back and missed 9 weeks work!

True, they can if something like drug addiction is not a factor. Had she not been a drug addict we'd still be together... I know that in my heart.. She is still alive, alone and extremely miserable. Eventually got into very hard drugs and now in very bad health. My younger brothers keep me informed of her life now. I love my wife and now can only feel sorrow for my first ex-wife, a totally sweet, beautiful and kind person when not on drugs!!!

Good came from that bad but nothing could save our relationship because she refused to give up her drugs!! I dearly hate drugs! I feel so sorry for those addicted and wasting their lives away. I have seen and felt its destructive power!

gosh it makes me sad to think that you endured probably one of the worst years of your entire life and yet you could not make the first marriage work. Oh, sorry if it was from death or something! The poem is GREAT!! (our worst year was last year. I can't tell you how many problems we had!!)

It was her drug addiction and the fact we had together two babies born dead because of her drug use! After the second child , a little girl , I said no more, no more of this unholy , extremely intense pain. I divorced her while still very, very deeply loving her. Sometimes life just suxs..

We would have made it all the way together had she not been addicted to drugs! Her drug addiction eventually destroyed our love and life together!
