Two Gulls

When I turned
The world turned with me
How can a sky
Be so blue?
Above the sea
When all I could do
Was fly
To you

So many miles
Across a sky
In golden light
A sun
Wreathed in smiles
Took my flight

When I turned
The world turned with me
I looked for you
Above the sea
In golden light
Found you too

Looking for me
Across the great expanse of sea
Two gulls
Flying free
You wanted this
Almost as much as me

Who found who?
We cannot know
It is hidden in miles
Of sea
Of golden light
Does it matter?
Certainly not to me!
