Two Faces

TWO FACES

Two faces has the eternal sea,
seven seas speak many languages
but love has one voice
and open hands.
The endless love I have for thee
a million tongues cannot speak
yet booms and rings
across the open lands.
Whispers on the propitious breeze,
volumes written with naked words
recall stones and honour found
on golden bands.
Two faces has the broken sea,
two arms to hold but not hold me,
two lips to kiss tenderly,
two eyes to see that don’t see me.

For the contest: In love with someone and it not being returned.

Such sorrow in your lovely words. I love the line "but love has one voice and open hands." It's one to say 'wish I thought of it' It's so beautiful.:-) Exquisite writing:-) blessings xx
