This is what I ended up getting them- a stuffed bunny that smells like chocolate, a candle, two pairs of fuzzy warm socks, a large plastic glass with a straw and a lid, post it notes and a new scrubber for their dishes.

Two birthday girls, they are both in their seventies. I cannot figure out what to give them with ease. They probably already have bunches of unusable stuff. I enter the store knowing my search will be rough.

Hey the way you wrote the poem is brilliant! First you talked about the gifts and later you revealed their ages!! Interesting. Loved it. Loved the gifts too.

Perfect gifts, if you ask me. I am happy with a box of trash bags. Nothing worse than running out at an inopportune time. Nowadays a package of toilet paper is nice, too. Nobody think about that when they're thinking of something I could use. I wonder why not?
