Two

What is wholeness you asked if I knew,
i say I don’t know for I’ve always been two.
Don’t ask how I came to figure it out,
it just happened on day to have come about.
What once who I thought was me,
turned out was blind, could not even see. 
Then how did I come to find I was two,
i looked inside and saw there was you.

I first was astounded and then I was blue, 
to think I’d completely forgotten about you, 
Never mind you said with a smile,
I’ve walked with you for quite some while.
For even though you forget I’m here,
i want you to know I’m always near.
So if at some times you feel lonely and lost,
Remember I’m with you whatever the cost.
