‘Twixt God and Us

The path that God assigns at birth,
Will never be a journey that’s unbent.
Each milestone helps assess our worth,
Even His will, we oft try to circumvent.
If ever we’re found outside His will,
God has compassion just the same.
When feeling alone and facing some hill,
He’ll be ready for our soul to reclaim.
Each life is uncertain due to change,
And bad decisions will surely come.
Events happen that we can’t arrange,
And only God can see the outcome.
