Twists In My Mind

The possibilities are endless,
Everything is here.
I've always looked for my own bliss
While I blindly fought the fear
That's created in my own mind
While I shiver in the cold,
Waiting for someone to be kind
And save me fore I'm old.

But the possibilities are ending,
Everything is gone
That I used for my own mending
When I saw I was a pawn.
My eyes needed to be open
And I saw just how to play
This game that I was thrown in
And survived but one more day.

But these ups and downs are too great
For my weary soul to take.
I'm forever leaning on my crutch
And my heart will always break.
Consistency will be mine.
Never was it before.
Beyond the vast limits of time,
I shall progress forever more.

Line 18 .. for me or for my? Read your "Twists of Mind" and love the way you explore while attaching meaning. Sounds like survival with understanding. A new beginning is only possible when an ending comes about. Keep twisting that mind of yours with pen in hand.
