Notes About The Poem
This poem is about how we can receive mix signals from others. The twin nature of desire and shame. In revision, the piece became about appearance to those that attract us and how that can become a repulsive self-examination in revision. The last part is the truth about fantasy and how it is destroyed by the disappointing realities of intimacy. Complete fiction not based on a personal recent experience.

Twin Twisters, Daily 38

38
A Gemini quest
My bringer of cold droughts
And naughty new breathes.

Damn me please
This is my disease
Look away shy and blind
Pretend a history so kind
That all sin is invisible

But mix your poisons
Drown the signs
Cover the blemish
It’s all in your mind.

Look over your shoulder
Spin around it’s the same
Rock-n-roll spinners
Hiding their shame.

But spinners are flashy
Shine style and sleek
But under the covers,
Cowards and meek.
