Twin Tracks
Beside each other we run
As silver streaks in midday sun,
Past forest glades and fleeting streams,
Vibrate and hum with singing dreams,
In parallel, as one.
Together, side by side,
Bridge gulfs and oceans wide,
Through arid plains and empty space,
To cities crammed with populace,
In synchrony we bide.
Twin tracks, we compliment
The harmony of love's intent,
Emotions bound, emotions shared,
In hidden night, in daylight bared,
Eternal and content.
In travelling this way,
Allegiance to transcend the grey
And aim towards a future time
When tracks will meet along the line,
Our destination day.
